Barberini & Gunnell
the studio and atelier

Founded in 2009 by the professional union of Francesco Barberini and Nina Alexandra Gunnell.

Studio Barberini & Gunnell receives assignments for architecture and interior projects in Italy and abroad.
Both, in 2012 and 2013, Barberini & Gunnell were selected amongst 15.000 designers to exhibit their collection at SaloneSatellite, together with 150 international designers, during the largest furniture and design fair in the world, the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
In 2013 B&G won the Young Design Award during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Barberini & Gunnell presently is collaborating with Tonelli Design and Gruppo Doimo.

The atelier Barberini & Gunnell creates objects far from the industrial reality;
one-off pieces and artworks in limited editions.
In this particular process, free from limitations of reproducible products, the duo experiments with different materials, refined craftsmanship and the most daring and extreme technical solutions pushing to a maximum the mechanical characteristics of the materials used.

Unique pieces, partly design objects, partly sculptures come to life.
These projects sometimes stay jealously guarded in the atelier as pieces of memorabilia, sometimes they are auctioned by international auction houses like Sotheby's, Bonhams, Tajan, Dorotheum and Koller with who the studio is collaborating assiduously.
